Dr. Kapil Patil
Kapil Patil, PhD is a Research Associate at RIS, New Delhi. His areas of specialization include S&T and innovation policy, international relations, and emerging technology issues. He holds a Ph.D. in Science Policy from Centre for Studies in Science Policy, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prior to joining RIS, he worked with the Vivekananda International Foundation and the Indian Pugwash Society, New Delhi. He was part of the BRNS-DAE sponsored research projects on India’s nuclear programme and also a co-editor a book titled, India’s Nuclear Energy Programme: Challenges, Prospects, and Public Concerns (Pentagon Press. 2014). He is the recipient of the 2018 Emerging Leaders Fellowship conferred by the Korean Ministry of Unification, and also an alumnus of the Nuclear History Boot Camp (2011) jointly organized by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington DC and the University of Roma Tre. His research is featured in academic journals as well as in various digital platforms.
